Women Educating & Inspiring Generations,” focuses on women in both the past and present who have influenced and inspired others by dedicating their lives to education, mentorship and leadership.
Celebrating Apostle Delrene Fordyce
Delrene Fordyce is presently the Senior Pastor of Gospel Foundation International Healing Ministries, Inc., located in the Bronx, New York.
Pastor Fordyce was called at the tender age of 12, in Jamaica W.I. where she accepted Christ Jesus as her Lord and was baptized. She became actively involved by preaching with her mother, an evangelist, at small group meetings, choir rehearsals, and revival meetings. Two of the most influential people in her life- were her parents, the late Phanuel & Randolph Marrett, who imparted wisdom and knowledge to her through the power of the Holy Spirit, which enabled her to become a true servant of God. Her confirmation of her call to ministry came through prophecies, dreams, and visions.
In 2013 Pastor Fordyce originally was a member of the Gospel Foundation Church of God in The Bronx, NY. But, with her love for people, compassion for the sick and poor, and eagerness to see people fall in love with Jesus Christ to reach their maximum potential in life, she was led to establish her own ministry. Her mantra is to love God with all her heart, soul, and might, to demonstrate his love to others, and to “let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” Amos 5:2-4.
Pastor Fordyce received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a minor in Childcare and Family Studies from SUNY at Stony Brook, NY. Additionally, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from SUNY Health Sciences Center in Brooklyn, NY as well. Her vocation as a nurse and experience as a leader in the profession is an asset to her ministry.
August 2005, the call of God was quite evident in her life, when Pastor Fordyce enrolled in a Master of Divinity program at Alliance Theological School in Nyack, NY. Upon successful completion of her studies, could say with assurance, she had acquired the knowledge, wisdom, and skills to impart the love of Christ throughout the nation and the world. Also, it contributed greatly to her decision to become the pastor of a healing and deliverance ministry.
At the same time, Pastor Fordyce is internationally certified as an Entrepreneur Coach with a special emphasis on Marketing, Image & Branding. In addition, as a Women’s Issues & Diversity Trainer (CDT) from The Professional Women Network in Kentucky.

Men Supporting Women in Leadership
In the three decades since the 1995 Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, the topic of men’s allyship for gender equality has grown in prominence in global efforts to address gender inequality. (MenEngage Alliance and UN Women, 2014). Over that time, governments and civil society organizations across the globe have developed programs working with men and boys to prevent and address gender-based violence and build men’s support for gender equality.
Strategies and approaches that can help men support women in leadership.
Men’s support for women’s leadership is critical. Because men often hold more power, change requires them to make space for women to lead. Given this, programs working on gender equality and women’s empowerment need to be more intentional about engaging with men.
Men’s allyship for gender equality begins at home, with men respecting women’s views and sharing household responsibilities. Allyship in the workplace involves valuing women’s ideas, supporting their decisions, and encouraging them to take on training, educational or other professional development opportunities.
To change their attitudes towards women’s leadership – and their behaviors – men need to have safe spaces where they are comfortable but also challenged to engage in critical reflection about the power and privileges that they have in many societies and question harmful forms of masculinity.
Male advocates for women’s leadership can provide important role models for other men, particularly when they are people who have influence and authority. While some literature cautions against reinforcing gender stereotypes that ‘men only listen to men’, Pacific practitioners have used this strategy effectively to overcome resistance to discussions of gender equality.
The 44th President of the United States has consistently championed women's rights. Obama extended his perspective worldwide by promoting gender equality as a means to enhance democracies and elevate living standards during a town hall meeting with young African leaders at the African Leadership Academy.

“Women in particular, by the way, I want you to get more involved," Obama said at the meeting. “Every day I read the newspaper and just think, like, ‘Brothers, what’s wrong with you guys? What’s wrong with us?’ We’re violent, we’re bullying. Just not handling our business. I think empowering more women on the continent, that … is going to lead to some better policies.”

soul care
Soul care for women is an essential practice that encompasses the holistic nurturing of a woman's inner self, emotions, and spiritual well-being. It involves recognizing the unique challenges and experiences that women face in their daily lives, including societal pressures, personal responsibilities, and emotional burdens.
Soul care encourages women to prioritize their mental, emotional, and spiritual health, fostering a deeper connection with themselves and their purpose in life. This practice can take many forms, such as engaging in mindfulness and meditation, pursuing creative outlets, or establishing supportive relationships with other women.
By creating a dedicated space for reflection and self-discovery, women can cultivate resilience, enhance their emotional intelligence, and ultimately lead more fulfilling lives. Moreover, soul care for women emphasizes the importance of self-compassion and understanding, allowing them to embrace their vulnerabilities and strengths alike. It is a journey of self-exploration that empowers women to reclaim their narratives, set healthy boundaries, and nurture their passions, ensuring they thrive in all aspects of their lives.
